Rug Payment
When you place an order, a $289 (nonrefundable and inclusive of shipping) deposit per rug ordered is due. This covers the cost of the initial sample for approval you will receive, showing the actual rug color and texture. You must see and approve a sample before a full-size order is placed. You may arrange for an appointment to view samples if you prefer, based on availability.

We accept all major credit cards online and you can mail us a check. Contact us for the mailing address. Once you approve your sample, the full amount of the rug is due so that we may proceed to custom-manufacture your rug(s). Note that no returns are possible once a custom order has been placed.

Rug Costs
Costs are based on the size and complexity of each style rug. Our custom rugs are sold by the square foot. To calculate, multiply length by height (4' x 6' = 24 sq ft.) Square foot costs are listed on each rug page and the shop page. Minor alterations and custom commissions are possible for an additional fee.

  Privacy
Information you provide, such as your name and address, is used solely to process orders. We do
not sell or disclose any information to third parties.

Rug Timing
Because our rugs are custom made by hand, they take some time to complete. The sample for approval takes 5–6 weeks and an average rug takes 10–12 weeks to complete. This timing is standard for custom-made rugs and will vary slightly based on the size and complexity of the particular design ordered.

Rug Delivery & Charges
Our mill is located in the Philipines (note: no child labor is employed). You may choose sea freight or expedited delivery. Sea freight takes approximately four weeks to the U.S; air freight one week, with additional cost. Delivery costs vary based on the number of rugs coming overseas at a time; we will provide you with costs at the time of shipment. Your Katie's Modern Rugs are worth waiting for and with moderately careful treatment will bring a lifetime of enjoyment.
